Bob George - Rector

Since his ordination in 1975, Bob has served in four dioceses around Australia with a considerable amount of his ministry undertaken through the Bush Church Aid Society and a number of chaplaincies. His ministry in Alice Springs includes a chaplaincy to the staff of Anglicare NT. At the Diocesan level, he is the Archdeacon of Central Australia, an honorary Canon of Christ Church Cathedral in Darwin, a member of Diocesan Council and an Examining Chaplain. He is married to Rigmor and they have two adult children and two grandchildren. Bob’s hobbies include reading, bushwalking and following sport.

Gill Wright - Parish Community Worker

Originally from England, Gill has lived in Australia for almost 25 years, the last three of which have been in Alice Springs. Her role as Parish Community Worker for 10 hours per week, involving coordination of pastoral care and outreach, is in addition to her position as Quality and Safety Manager at the Alice Springs Hospital.

Ken Langford-Smith - Rector’s Warden

Ken is in his eighth year as the Principal of Yipirinya School in Alice Springs, a school for Indigenous children which offers two way education, bilingual and bicultural. Yipirinya means ‘caterpillar’ and the School takes its name and ethos from the Caterpillar Dreamtime of the Arrernte people of Mparntwe (Alice Springs).

Steve Foster - People’s Warden

Dr Steve Foster has lived in Alice Springs for a number of years and currently is the Senior Rural Medical Practitioner for Youth Health, working with Central Australia Remote Health Service.

Worship and ministry of the parish is managed by Parish Council which is elected annually and meets monthly.
