Four years after independence and freedom, Timor Leste is one the worlds least developed nations.
With the battle of independence won, this impoverished country is looking towards rebuilding itself after generations of horror. One of the co-founders of Yooralla Youth Ministries, Greg Buxton, is a member of our congregation here at ACOTA and has been travelling to Seurtulan, a village in the centre of East Timor Island, since 2006. Yoorallas goal for this village is to build 37 homes, a medical clinic and a community hall. Two people from ACOTA joined the Easter 2010 trip to Sertulan and Greg hopes that a larger group will join him for the Easter 2011 trip. ACOTA has committed to support the Timor Leste mission for the next 12 months.
